Stiftung Warentest, an independent German institution which is involved with product tests for end users has reported in their magazine 6/2006 that the Brötje EcoCondens BBS Pro 20 C SSP is rated as "good". Altogether they tested eleven gas condensing boilers. It should be mentioned that this product was rated "very good" in all major aspects, e.g., safety, environmental compatibility and energy utilisation rate. Here, the energy efficiency of 109 percent was very relevant. Furthermore, the heat generator has an extremely wide modulation range from 17 to 100 percent so that it works economically and complies with performance requirements in any situation.
BBS Pro excels by its low energy consumption compared with other devices which is achieved by a permanent magnet pump. This greatly reduces operating costs, as the costs of power represent the second largest element of the total heating costs. What is more, end customers may benefit from state subsidies aimed at promoting the use of equipment which is particularly ecologically friendly.
With its compact design, EcoCondens BBS Pro can be installed just about anywhere. In particular for modernisation projects, the separation of the drinking water tank from the heat generator is an advantage. Easy transport and the Brötje docking system make for swift installation.
